The Day the Music Died

I just finished listening to an amazing two-part Washington Post podcast about the Altamont Free Concert on December 6th, 1969 by Geoff Edgers. It's the 50th anniversary of that public disaster this week, and it was worth listening to the story and interviews about what happened that day. I highly recommend it. The whole thing sounds like a cautionary tale about taking a peace and love philosophy too far with no real world preparation in respect towards real world circumstances.
